The Stone House is a extraordinary piece of Sylvan's history. It was artfully
crafted by August Loquet in 1911 out of stones locally collected and individually
mortared together. Although thelandscape of Sylvan Lake has changed significantly,
the Stone House stands as beautiful as the day it was built almost 100 years ago.
The façade of the building reflects the thought and talents that went into the
remarkable construction of this building.
Colorful stones were matched and displayed to showcase
the natural beauty inherent within.
